Getting Started
PU-Connect is a campus-only peer-to-peer marketplace built exclusively for Pentecost University students. It allows verified students to buy, sell, and trade textbooks, electronics, services, and more — safely, within the campus community.
PU-Connect is available to all currently enrolled students, faculty, and accredited staff of the university. You must be 13 or older and must register with a valid email address. All accounts are verified before trading begins.
Visit our sign-up page and fill in your name, email address, username, and password — or continue quickly with Google or Apple. Once registered, you'll receive a verification email. Click the link inside to activate your account and start trading.
Yes — signing up and listing items is completely free for all campus users. We may introduce optional premium features in the future, and we'll always notify users at least 30 days in advance of any fee changes.
Absolutely. PU-Connect is fully responsive and works seamlessly on all smartphones and tablets through your mobile browser. A dedicated mobile app is on our roadmap and will be announced when available.
Account & Profile
On the login page, click "Forgot password?" below the password field. Enter your registered email address and we'll send you a secure reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive. The reset link expires after 24 hours.
Go to Account Settings → Profile to update your username. Username changes are allowed once every 30 days. To change your email address, go to Account Settings → Security — you'll need to verify the new email address before the change takes effect.
You can delete your account from Account Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. All your listings will be removed and your personal data will be anonymised within 90 days, in line with our Privacy Policy. Note: active transactions must be completed or cancelled before deletion.
No. Each person may only hold one active account at a time. Multiple accounts are a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in all accounts being suspended. If you've lost access to your account, please contact our support team.
If your account was suspended, you should receive an email explaining the reason. If you believe the suspension was in error, you can appeal by emailing appeals@pu-Connect.edu.gh with your username and a brief description. We aim to review all appeals within 5 business days.
Listings & Selling
After logging in, tap "+ Post Listing" from your dashboard. Add a title, description, category, price, and at least one clear photo. Your listing goes live immediately after submission. The whole process takes under 2 minutes.
You can sell any legal item or service relevant to campus life, including:
- Textbooks, lecture notes, and study materials
- Electronics — laptops, calculators, phones
- Furniture and hostel essentials
- Fashion and clothing
- Campus services — tutoring, design, printing, delivery
- Food and snacks (packaged goods only)
Free accounts can have up to 20 active listings at any one time. If you need more, please contact us — we're happy to accommodate active community sellers.
Go to My Listings, find the item, and tap "Mark as Sold". The listing will be removed from public search immediately. Please do this promptly after a transaction to maintain a good seller reputation.
Listings are removed if they violate our Terms of Service — for example, prohibited items, misleading descriptions, or duplicate listings. You'll receive a notification explaining the reason. If you believe the removal was an error, email support@pentvarsconnect.com.
Buying & Offers
On any listing page, tap "Message Seller". This opens a secure in-app chat — please keep all communication on platform. You can ask questions, negotiate price, and arrange a meetup, all within the chat.
Yes! Many sellers are open to negotiation. Use the in-app chat to make a polite offer. Some listings are marked "Fixed Price" — in those cases, the seller has indicated the price is not negotiable.
If an item significantly differs from its description and you used our escrow payment system, do not confirm receipt — funds won't be released to the seller until you do. Contact us at support@pentvarsconnect.com within 24 hours of the meetup to open a dispute.
Give sellers up to 48 hours to respond — they may be in lectures or exams. If after 48 hours there's no response, you can report the listing as inactive and explore other listings for the same item.
Payments & Escrow
PU-Connect supports Mobile Money (MTN, Vodafone, AirtelTigo) and our in-platform escrow system. For small-value in-person trades, cash is also acceptable. We strongly recommend using escrow for any transaction above GH₵ 50.
When you use escrow:
1. Buyer sends payment → funds are held securely by PU-Connect.
2. Buyer and seller meet on campus to complete the exchange.
3. Buyer confirms receipt in the app → funds are released to the seller.
If the buyer doesn't confirm within 48 hours of the agreed meetup time, funds are released automatically. If a dispute is raised, our team reviews and decides within 3 business days.

Refunds are available if:
- You used escrow and raised a dispute before confirming receipt
- The seller cancelled the transaction
- The item was proven to be significantly not as described
Once the buyer confirms receipt, funds are transferred to your Mobile Money wallet within 24 hours on business days. Bank transfers, where applicable, may take up to 3 business days.
Safety & Disputes

1. Do NOT release escrow payment if you haven't already.
2. Document everything — screenshots of messages, listings, and any receipts.
3. Report the user through the app (⋯ More → Report).
4. Email support@pentvarsconnect.com with your evidence.
5. If you've suffered financial loss or feel unsafe, contact campus security.
